Organising your home is one thing. But then it needs to be maintained so you don’t have to do it again in 2 weeks’ time!
Here’s 4 quick tips I do to keep our home organised and looking tidy:

1. Have a place for everything
Make sure everything you own has a place, so it’s not left out on the side. This may mean you need to create new storage ideas or even have a miscellaneous drawer as we all know not everything fits into a category!
2. Put everything back in its place as soon as you’re finished with it
It’s easy for a room to become untidy if you don’t put things away once you’re done with them. It takes a few seconds to put something away but can take a whole lot longer to tidy everything!

3. Never walk out of a room empty handed
When you leave a room, always take empty cups, plates, etc. with you. Small jobs like this take a matter of seconds, whereas if there’s more to carry, it seems a much bigger task! Whether it is washing to bring downstairs or a handbag you’ve recently used to take upstairs – take it as you leave instead of letting things pile up.
4. Have a 5-minute tidy before bed
As you’re about to go to bed, have a quick tidy around. Make sure the kitchen worktops are clear of junk and the living room cushions have been straightened and any blankets folded away. You’ll feel so much better in the morning if you come downstairs to a tidy space.
